A quantity surveyor is a construction cost specialist responsible for estimating budgets, tracking expenses, and managing financial risks throughout a project’s lifecycle. When I first learned about this role, it reminded me of how students juggle resources in affordable assignments, trying to balance accuracy and efficiency. In the construction world, a QS plays that same balancing role, keeping everything aligned and cost effective.
